dc.description.abstract The objective of this study is to carry out the following. '1. To determine the effect of number of lifts for end of construction. 2 To determine the effect of the reservoir filling have being done in single stage and four stages. 3. To study the effect of seven lifts at end of construction with four stages reservoir filling A 100..m high dam with a vertical core has been used in this study. The dam has been considered to be located in a narrow valley with valley wall slope of 1H:1V with 50 m base width. The materials of the various zones (shell, filter and core) of the dam are assumed to exhibit non linear behaviour. The hyperbolic model has been adopted to model the stress strain behaViour of the materials. The behaviour has been studied at three different cross section and five interfaces at different elevation on each cross section.. en_US
