dc.description.abstract In the proposed work the costs associated with an electrical energy supply interruption for residential customers loads are estimated using interruption data obtained from different residential income class surveyed. The expected energy not supplied for generation outage is also evaluated using frequency and duration technique. A fuzzy load model has been used for the interruption cost calculation to eliminate the error involved in the recorded loads, The results indicate the implications of electric service reliability to residential customers in India, and shows that reliability worth evaluation is both possible and practical in a devolving country. It may also help the utility engineer for future planning and decision making. en_US
