dc.description.abstract A series of supported bi-metallic catalysts were synthesized by incipient wetness impregnation (IWI) method. The synthesized catalysts were characterized by using Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) analysis. After characterization, the oxidation of cyclohexane was studied by considering the above catalysts at moderate temperature and pressure. The molecular oxygen was considered as oxidant for the study. The supports used for the study was Al2O3 in varied compositions. In-Situ FTIR study at different Co: Fe ratio, Mn: Fe ratio and varying metal loading was performed and temperature effects were also studied. The vapor phase products are analyzed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). And the product was confirmed by analyzing with GC-FID (Gas chromatography with Flame Ionization Detector). It was observed that Mn: Fe ratio series shows great affinity towards the reactivity and conversion of product than the catalyst synthesized by using Co: Fe ratio. en_US
