dc.description.abstract Multiferroic are materials which exhibits more than one ferroic orders and magnetoelectricity, refers to coupling between magnetism and electricity. BLFO was prepared by solid state reaction method. In the present work, rare earth element 30% La is doped in BiFeO3 and TiO2 thin film heterostructure deposited on Ti coated Si substrate by pulse laser deposition (PLD) technique. The structural, electrical, optical and photovoltaic property of TiO2/BLFO structure has properly investigated. The BLFO thin film characterization has done by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), Energy dispersive analysis of X ray(EDAX), Impedance analyzer for dielectric measurements, Atomic force microscopy (AFM) and Solar simulator. From morphological characterization it found the grain size increases of BLFO and TiO2 / BLFO thin film. Dielectric constant increases by increasing grain size and this shows Polarization in ferroelectric. The hetrostructure of TiO2/BLFO shows significant photovoltaic effect and having efficiency 0.13% under illumination en_US
