Temperature is a very important quantity, especially in the process industries
all big plant like chemical plant, steel plant for them monitoring of tempera-
ture is very important. So temperature controller are needed to kept temper-
ature stable. In this project heat exchanger system is used which is usedIto
transfer heatIfrom a hotI
uid to aIcooler
uid,Iso temperature controlIof outlet
uidIis of primeIimportance.ITo control theItemperature of outletI
uid of theIshell
and tubeIheat exchanger systemIa feedback conventionalIproportional-integral-
derivative (PID) controller ,Feedback plus Feedforward and Internal Model Con-
troller(IMC) are used.IThe designed controllersIregulates the temperatureIof the
outgoingI
uid to aIdesired set pointIin the shortestIpossible time irrespectiveIof
load andIprocess disturbances,Iequipment saturation andInonlinearity.IA complete
analysisIusing di erent kindIof PID parametersIFeedback plus FeedforwardIand
Internal ModelIController(IMC),isIpresented in termsIof system response. Perfor-
mance of theIcontroller is examinedIin terms ofIsettling time,Irise time andIpercent
overshoot.Indian. |
