dc.description.abstract Flow modeling using CFD provides engineers with the ability to accurately determine the performance of design concepts, reducing the need for physical testing and building of prototypes. This makes it possible to evaluate many more designs, resulting in a substantial improvement in performance. Present study aims at studying the water flow in upper ganga canal at roorkee, to study that parts which are getting more pollutant and to study impurity concentration at multifurcation with the use of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) By drawing and modeling on GAMBIT software and simulate on fluent to get the best results can be used to develop a conclusion and recommendations for improved of canal water management. To recommend the best mitigation measures to cope up degradation and maintain the sustainability of the canal water. Under steady state condition and unsteady state condition canal flow behaviour and impurity concentration is analysed by opening and closing the sewages inlet and also through by changing the velocity of sewages velocity. en_US
