dc.description.abstract Campus accommodation is an approach to the provision of an ideal accommodation and social space in the higher education Institution. It has provision for of sociable, amenable, and safe environment for all students, faculty and other members, no matter what their age, gender, disability and religion. Humans are social beings, and social interaction is essential to normal human development. Social interaction is a dynamic sequence of social actions between individuals who modify their actions and reactions due to actions by their interaction partner. Charles H. Cooley (1922), state that â Societyâ and â Individualsâ do not denote separable phenomena but are simply communal and distributive aspects of the same thing. Social control or deprivation from racially normal interaction with society affects mental health and harm child development. The major elements outlines the spirit of social relation in the place can be explain by perception of social interaction in space. Actors, milieu, synomorphy and time are the essential elements for perceptive the sense of fitness of the activities (Barker, 1968) and also recognized the socio-behavioural attribute of the space. â Extension of living spaceâ is defined as residential common space. Generally, these spaces are limited to use by the all residents as semi-public spaces and it appears as â buffer zonesâ between residential communities and the other. These spaces play vital role that encourage residents to establish social interaction and recognition. Therefore, those spaces become â Interactive Spacesâ and â Social Fields or Spaceâ . Communicate, Connect, Contribute and Create are the social needs of community. Every community should assure at least one of the four of social needs for conducive healthy society. A physical space becomes a place when it is filled and invested with meaning, e.g. a house becomes a home for a family through life experience. In practice it is hard to distinction between space and place because understanding space totally gives you the tools to influence place. The impacts of colour, light, textures, and furniture as is linked with activities give design factors that impacts actions. A conceptual framework of residential satisfaction gives the way of individual interacts with his/her environment and analyze the different processes, cognitive, affective and behavioural, which take places in this interaction. The physical environment influences the social and task interactions among the people in it and interferes with the frequency and quality of social interaction. Social interaction and the layout of space equally influence each other. en_US
