The rapid growth of the Internet in the last few years has given rise to a strong interest in carrying telephony over the Internet or Voice over IP [1, 2]. IP telephony or VoIP enables users to transmit voice or phone calls over data networks using the internet protocol IP. The transmission of Voice over IP requires conversion of an analog voice into digital stream of data packets. Packets are then routed through data network from one user to another, where they are converted back into voice. This kind of transmission has certain advantages, such as rational use of existing networks and making international calls at much lower rates than any other POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) provider can deliver.en_US
