dc.description.abstract | The FDTD method derived from the basic electromagnetic equations formulated by Maxwell present a simple and accurate method of analysing an electromagnetic problem. This method was initially used to model the scattering of electromagnetic waves from an objects. However with techniques which were developed subsequently, it became possible to include sources in the computational domain. This dissertation presents FDTD modeling of the electromagnetic radiations from a mobile handset. The model incorporates the simulation of the source, absorbing boundary conditions and the presence of non-homogenous complexities in the vicinity of the mobile handset. A transformation for computing far field from the FDTD generated near field data has also been implemented | en_US |
