Authors: Chinthabathini, Suresh Kumar
Keywords: ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING;IMAGE FUSION;DIGITAL IMAGE PROCESSING;WAVELETS
Issue Date: 2003
Abstract: Image Fusion is the recent technique primarily to combine two or more input images to obtain the fused image, which is having both the features of the input images. Image Fusion is to produce a single image from a set of input images. The Fused Image should have complete information, which is useful for human and machine perception. Due to the availability of data given by multiple sensors in many fields like Remote Sensing, Medical Imaging and Military applications image fusion is having much more importance and an interesting area of research. Basically image fusion is the process of combining two or more input images to produce a clear and complete image, which is having the combined features of the input images. There are so many types of image fusion techniques available. In this dissertation the wavelet based fusion Algorithm is implemented by using the wavelet decomposition and reconstruction procedure.
