dc.description.abstract | In this dissertation work, we first discuss the WCDMA channel model and then consider the need for channel estimation in a RAKE receiver and the MUD scheme. We next discuss briefly two estimation techniques: - the M-L estimation and the MMSE estimation. We then present MMSE-ML technique for channel estimation in an asynchronous multiuser WCDMA environment. Lastly the performance of the above scheme is presented for variable number of users and different SNR's. | en_US |
