Providing wireless QoS for IP networks is under development [1]. High performance radio local area network type 2(Hiperlan/2) is a European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI) /Broadband Radio Access Networks (BRAN) standard that guarantees QoS for IP networks even under changing load conditions. Dynamic behavior of Data Link Control (DLC) layer of Hiperlan/2 is the main cause for providing QoS support. In this dissertation a special scheduling policy is used at DLC layer for IP traffic to provide QoS. Comparative study of DLC layers of Hiperlan/2 and IEEE 802.11a has been done. The performance of Hiperlan/2 is better than IEEE 802.1 Ia. We, further improved IP QoS performance by using robust modulation schemes such as 16QAM 3/4 and 64QAM 3/aen_US
