Cellular mobile radio communication is becoming more and more popular day by day. Modeling of the cellular mobile radio propagation has been recognized as one of the major evolving areas of study. The world is shifting to wide band transmission in cellular mobile communication. The results obtained by uniform geometric theory of diffraction (UTD) are in good agreement with the measurements. Also, among the various methods of modeling cellular mobile radio propagation, UTD is a comparatively simpler approach. So, in this dissertation work, modeling of the cellular mobile radio propagation This dissertation describes the UTD approach for modeling the cellular mobile radio propagation in the urban environment. A simulation of the modeling has been done in C++. The computed results are in good agreement with the available results. The results are also obtained at frequencies which are being allocated for cellular mobile communication. Case studies have been reported for received power when the receiver is mounted on the roof of a moving vehicle.-en_US
