Multi-carrier CDMA is widely considered as an effective means for future wireless multimedia communications. In a multi-carrier transmission system, the available channel bandwidth is divided into multiple subchannels such that data symbols modulated by different subcarriers can be transmitted in parallel. By doing this, we combat the distortion due to frequency selective multipath fading. In MC-CDMA, MC and CDMA systems join forces to complement their strengths. MC waveforms have also bro,n considered for wideband CDMA, which is a strong contestant for third-generation wireless systems. In this dissertation, we have carried out the software simulation of MC-CDMA system in a fading multipath channel, and evaluated the system performance. We have used DSP techniques for the implementation of the system. We have also compared the performance of MC-CDMA system with a single carrier system employing a RAKE receiver. The simulation has been carried out in the MATLAB environment. 111en_US
