dc.description.abstractIn this dissertaion a simple dielectric waveguide bandpass filter is discussed. It consists of two, parallel-coupled, dielectric-waveguide gratings, each grating having a distributed load at one end. This structure gives a narrow, low-loss passband, and around 30 dB of attenuation in the stopband. In this dissertation simple dielectric waveguide bandpass filter having maximally flat filter characteristic has been designed and fabricated on glass epoxy. The attenuation characteristic of above fabricated simple dielectric waveguide bandpass filter have been studied and results discussed. The experimental and theoretical values were compared. VSWR of above fabricated simple dielectric waveguide bandpass filter at center frequency was also meausred.en_US
