A waveguide fed longitudinal slot array is analysed using moment method, which takes account of both the waveguide wall thickness and the influence of side walls. The equivalance theorem is utilized to set up a pair of operator equations which are then reduced to matrix form using the method of moments. The equivalent sources are represented by a sinusoidal Fourier set of basis function, and it is shown that only few terms are required to cause the series to converge. A computed . curve showing the functional form of the tangential electric field in the slot is presented and compared with some earlier calculated and trial slot-field distributions.en_US
