Abstract: Microwave absorbing sheets are heavier in weight, narrower in frequency band and more difficult to handle. To overcome these drawbacks, a light weight, broad band microwave absorbing paint can be used. In this dissertation work Zn-Co Barium Hexagonal Ferrite powdbihas been fabricated and epoxy resin has been used as binder to make microwave absorbing paint. The absorption characteristics of the above fabricated ferrite have been carried out and results discussed. The study of Zn-Mn ferrite (obtained from industrial waste) in the field of microwave absorber has also been carried out. Frequency selective surfaceswere also used to increase the bandwidth of the absorber. The experimental and theoretical values wedcompared.
