dc.description.abstractthis dissertation, the design of a dual feed stacked patch circularly polarized microstrip antenna is described. Emphasis is given on producing a wide axial ratio bandwidth. Emphasis is also given on saving the additional space required to make the feed system for these dual feed circularly polarized antenna. Stacked patch and air gap between the patches is used for obtaining wideband characteristics while the microstrip feed system is made on the opposite side of the ground plane to save space. The microstrip feed lines feed the patch through conducting via holes passing through the ground plane. A 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 17.33% at a center frequency of 2.4 GHz has been achieved for the simulated prototype antenna. A 24 % axial ratio bandwidth has been achieved for the simulated 2x2 array at the center frequency of 2.4 GHz. A comparison of the performance of this kind of configuration is also done with other similar configurations and useful conclusions have been drawnen_US
