In this dissertation work, we have discussed different modelling approaches used to characterize the fading dispersive channels. The continuous time channel model as well as Equivalent discrete-time model are discussed next. Then two simulation techniques (i) Monte Carlo and (ii) Modified Monte Carlo are. presented. Based on the software simulation results comparison of the two techniques is presented. Lastly probability of error performance of the triple error correcting RS(15,9) code in Rayleigh fading environment based on the simulation'results is presented.en_US
