Abstract: In recent years, database technology has been applied to applications outside the realm of data-processing viz, computer-aided design, multimedia databases etc. To meet the above challenges, the Object-Oriented Database comes into picture. The integrated object oriented analysis and design method integrates analysis and design phases based on entity/class relationship. This method concentrates on establishing relationship between entities and between classes, and refining them in describing the system's behaviour. This method provides event trace diagrams to capture the interactions among operations within the classes. It is characterized by uniform notations and specific procedures in order to identify classes, objects, attributes and operations. This method is applied step-by-step to the banking system and the database is designed. According to the design, it is implemented for the banking system using the object oriented language C++.
