Microwave absorbing sheets are heavier in weight, narrower in frequency band and more difficult to handle. To overcome these drawbacks, a light weight, broad band microwave absorbing paint (MAP) has been proposed and developed with a target of minimum 10 dB absorption and thickness of about 1 mm in Ku-Band (12-18 G.HZ ). .t R The paint has been fabricated using CoTi - Barium Hexagonal Ferrite powder as a radar absorbing material and epoxy resin as binder. The intrinsic properties of the ferrite powder have been altered by controlling its particle size by DRY ATTRITOR to allow excellent absorption of microwave energy at broad band frequencies. The developed paint has been tested using Absorbing Testing Device (ATD). The theoretical estimation follow the experimental values.' The objective of 10 dB absorption in Ku-band with a paint thickness of about 1 mm has been successfully- achieved-in-the present investigation.en_US
