In this dissertation work, a four-diode power combiner has been designed and fabricated at X-band. Gunn diodes have been used as signal source. The optimum distance between the two diode mount pairs has been calculated. The module has been designed at 9.5 GHz. A tuning short has been used at the other end of X-band waveguide as a means of mechanical tuning of the oscillator. Then, the power output and operating frequencies vs. distance of sliding short from the diode mount-pairs have been recorded and plotted. The power-combining efficiency and coupling-coefficient are also calculated.en_US
