dc.description.abstract | Expert Systems are computer programs that employ human expertise to solve to problems that require human intelligence. They are rich in a specific problem domain and their problem solving paradigm is largely distinct from the subject domain knowledge. Expert. Systems are important applications of Artificial Intelligence. In this thesis we present the development of an Expert System for assessing computer security in the area of Program and Data Access. Use of expert system shell EXSYS has been made and the Knowledge Base for Program and, Data Access Security has been developed and put into the EXSYS environment. In building any Expert System, the main work is developing the relevant Knowledge Base because it Is very specific for each Expert System. Other things are more or less common in most of Expert Systems. The system thus developed using IF-THEN rules aids managers In evaluating their systems for minimum standards In the field of Program and Data Access Security. | en_US |
