Issue Date: 1992
Abstract: In today's scenario of fast changing technology, no communication -technologist would like to go for trials by installing the system hundreds of kilometers away just for the sake of performance evaluation of the system. Especially, when simulators act as the testbed for in—house testing and offer near real time conditions at affordable price. The dissertation aims at studying the basic characteristic of meteor burst channel and simulating the channel by a complete hardware approach. Data analysis of various real time channel parameters has been presented. The meteor channel statistics is made use of in designing the meteor burst channel simulator circuitry. Some of the devices implemented in the hardware has been discussed at length. Details of the actual hardware is included and the results are discussed.
