dc.description.abstractAn experimental study of waveguide Gunn oscillator has been attempted. The experiments were carried in X-band and for that a resonent cavity was designed and fabricated. The cavity was designed for an operating frequency of 10 GHz. The diode was post mounted. A tunning short was used to vary the operating point of oscillator. The diode was characterized and its equivalent circuit was drawn. The unknown circuit parameters like capacitance, Inductance Conductance etc. were related to experimentally known parameters. These circuit parameters can be useful for the analysis of Gunn diode oscillator.en_US
