Title: STUDY OF RADAR CROSS SECTION FOR COMPLEX TARGETS
Authors: Balachandra, K. V.
Keywords: ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING;RADAR CROSS SECTION;COMPLEX TARGETS;RCS REDUCTION
Issue Date: 1992
Abstract: In this dissertation theoretical estimation of radar cross sections of a complex radar target, namely, a scale-model of a missile has been carried out at frequencies 9,10 and 11 GHz., for various aspect angles, by the sum-of -components approach. The scale-model was fabricated and . its RCS was also experimentally determined in the labora.tory..It is found that the two results are in good agreement with in the practical allowable error. In addition, a scale-model of an aircraft has also been fabricated and its RCS was measured in the laboratory.. Studies have been also made for the RCS reduction by bodyshaping of complex radar targets, with an illustration for an aircraft. 0
