dc.description.abstract | Digital processing of an input sequence to generate an output sequence in accordance with a prescribed computational algorithm is commonly known as digital signal processing. This type of signal processing is implemented by means of either a special purpose signal processor or a general purpose digital computer. Advances in digital integrated circuit technology during the last two decades have made the digital processing technique economically practical and a more convenient method of signal processing.
