dc.description.abstractIn the last decade, the evolvement of Expert Tutoring Systems in educational environment has been seen. The Expert Tutoring System is yielded as a result of inclusion of Artificial Intelligence techniques in conventional tutoring systems. An expert tutoring system mimics the role of human tutor i . e. , possesses many human skills. In this dissertation, the basic philosophy o•f expert tutoring. system is presented. The tutoring :;y-.;terfj for LISP language, General Knowledge and Botonical classification of plants are illustrated. These tutoring systems will create a reactive environment in which a student can learn by trying his own ideas r-athter than by inst-ruction. They will also provide useful information to a student. The main goal to develop these tutoring systems is to establish one to one relationship to a student with an expert who hips the student to create, experiment with and debug his own ideas.en_US
