Nowadays a number of motion estimation techniques are used for displacement estimation of a moving object in a scene out of which spatio temporal differential techniques are considered to be the best from the hard. ware implementation point of view.. In this dissertation a , comparative study of four techniques has been done using uniform intensity pattern. In the first three algorithms the intensity values of the corresponding elements in the previous frames are to estimate the current pets while the fourth algorithm uses seven elements of the previous frame to. estimate the eight 'h element of the currents frame. The simulation results show that the fourth algorithm namely Wiener Based algorithm, is the most accurate and efficient method for obtaining an exact estimation, of translation and it has the fastest convergent too,en_US
