Abstract: The dissertation 'ON THE COMPUTATION OF ERROR PROBABILITY AND PROBABILITY DENSITY FUNCTION OF IN T ERSYMBOL INTERFERENCE WITH ADDITIVE NOISE' mainly includes the analysis and computa- tion of the error probability and the probability density function of intersymbol interference in additive noise environ-ment giving importance to the recent method due to KURTZ METZGER. Various methods of analysis and computations (as they appear in literature)of these quantities have also been studied and reported with some computational results in'. a few cases.. Practical methods of measuring the intersymbol interference (ISI) and eliminating this ISI along with jitter are also presented along with their results.
