Abstract: The transmission line model of a uniform rectangu-lar thin film R0-C0-KR0 structures, which consist of two resistive thin films of constant per unit length resistances •R0 and KR0 separated by a dielectric layer of constant per unit length shunt capacitance Co, has been analysed on the basis of analysis made earlier for a general Z-Y-KZ structures •in terms of matrix parameter functions. The above mentioned structure has been fabricated using vacuum evaporation technique and experimental study of the performance characteristics of the device has been made for different configurations. The effect of terminating loads on the performance characteristics have also been studied. The performance characteristics of the thin film R0-C0-KR0 structure bias been calculated using a digital computer. Finally, the theoretical performance cilaracteristic of the device has been compared with the experimental counterparts, and results are found in good agreement. This study can be extended for other subnetworks which are obtainable from the uniform Ro-Co-KR0 structures. If more informations on the performance _iv_ characteristics of these subnetworks be made available, these devices may be exploited for new applications likely to come up with large scale utilisation of integrated electronics
