dc.description.abstract | Surface acoustic wave devices have been used in various consumer products like color television, video cassette recorder, mobile telephone for cars eta. The most significant success has been in the realization of SAW filter for television intermediate frequency (IF) stage. The IF filter characteristics are the key factors that influence overall set performance. A consideration of overall signal system from the tuner output circuit to the video detector is desirable from the point of view of the design of this filter. To design TV IF filter for PAL split—electrode transducers are used. For apodization of output transducers many design methods are in use. One of them is constrained damped least squares method. This method takes into account the constraints to be met exactly by the designed filter as well as the effects of electrical termination simultaneously. The theoretical design and analysis of the filter has been carried out . in detail using the method of constrained damped least squares and reported in this dissertation. | en_US |
