Abstract: This thesis embodies the effects of d.c. me.gnetic field and microwave radiation on nerve membrane.. The study of electric properties (conductivity and dielectric constant) of excitable nerve rene is mde, in presence of d.c. megnetic field and microwave radiation separately. The results are plotted for squidaxon and carcinus fiber. The behaviour of various ionic currents (such as sodium and potassi 41 of nerve in excitable state is pred cted theoretically in presence of d.e. n geiettc field as well as in presence of microwave radiation. The Ionic model of nerve membrane is used. to find the behaviour of nerve membrane in such an environmental conditions. The curves of various ionic currents and membrane conductances are plotted to show the effects of microwave radiation field. Practical is performed on frog. The Rest Potential and Action Potential of Sciatic nerve are
