Abstract:	The objective of the thesis is to design and implement a translator for programming language ADA. The problem has been chosen to understand the features of the language and to provide some sort of translator due to the non-availability of standard ADA compiler. With this intension the thesis is directed towards various aspects involved in the design and implementation of the translator. Studies have been carried out about the features that a translator should possess and for making it compa-tible for implementation oIL BBC Micro. This has been carried out in BASIC programming language.
