The stats specs representation for a linear BSC network with the independent sources of the network as exclusive components of the input vector does not always exist. When the state variables •r! chosen as capacitor voltages and inductor currents, the stat* space charactsr-ixatton of linear RLC network involves derivatives of sources. In network analysis* the available literature uses the state space representation exclusive of source derivative. 'Therefore„ an extension of the results and expressions* available for the, state space chsrsctsrixrtion without source derivatives, is done for the case when source derivatives are also involved in the state space representation. A esthed of describing systems by sets of second—order differential equations is proposed recently. This second order state spec• for uletion, different from the conv t--lonal first order state space representation, appears to be more advantageous In some eases. So some useful results hitherto obtained as first order stats-space for ulation are derived using the second' ovder formulation. Some suggestions are also given which, if worked out, will extend the results to serer gen.ralissd casesen_US
