Recent interests in _the aperture antennas with desired radiation characteristics have been mainly due to widespread use of microwave systems in communication, e.g. satellite communication and, microwave relay etc. Also congestion In the lower bands has compelled the antenna designer to go for microwave systems. Some characteristics of cut corner guide as a waveguide feed were discussed by Pao in 1942 but the analysis has not yet been given for it. The cut corner guide can be analysed by two aperture method, i.e. consider-ing the radiation from the left and right apertures and using the principle of pattern multiplication. In this dissertation, attempt has been made to derive theoretical expressions for the far field of the cut corner guide and to correlate the predicted patterns with the experimentally observed characteristicsen_US
