dc.description.abstract | The user interaction with the operating system is through an human interface - the Console Com1M;,!-,.nd Processor (CCP). The command, line intcorprf ter. (CII) processes command input, initiates command execution, and when execution is complete, rrrromnpts for another command. In this dissertation a Console Command Processor has been developed for Intel's Personnel Development System with ISIS--PDS h.: Rill L. Th.- progr;=,m has been developed in 8O8 macro- assembly. The thesis incudes development of a CLI to recog-nize the various console commands, and sonic of the file manage rnent commands such as TYPE, ETTE, CREATE, APPE111D, COPY, and RENAME. In addition to these, an editor EDIT has been developed with CTRLN, CTR1 A and CTRL-E as the editting commands. Cursor movement commands have also been included in EDIT. A multi-processing scheme has also been outlined. | en_US |
