In a colour TV video signal consists of a chro-minence and a luminance component. For the separation of the two, a number o are available but emb ..mow-,.....;.....,,. _._•.. filter technique is more economic and provides picture improvement more than in other techniques. The comb filters may be named as 1-H, 2-H, -;structures, depending on the number of delay lines used. In the dissertation we have analysed 1-H, 2-H comb filters in detail with respect to S1 R, sensitivity and vertical resolution improvements, Further we have proposed structures for picture quality improvement with added signal (detail) for 2-H filters. Our analysis shows that for the consumer services 1-H comb filter is better than 2-H comb filter.en_US
