Issue Date: 1984
Abstract: This dissertation, deals with the study of different types of Helical Antennas. These helical antennas can be used where circular polarization is required or ,where the polarization of received signal is unknown i.e. weather satellites. The dissertation is organized into five chapters. Chapter I deals with the introduction to the three main types of helices. The second chapter incorporates the detailed theory of axial mode helices. Design of different types of axial mode helical antennas and the material used is covered in chapter three. Chapter four covers the measurements on these antennas. Finally, chapter five includes conclusion and suggestions.
