Abstract: The emergence of economical local network techn-ology has made feasible the design of interconnected multiple computer system that provides high performance at a low cost. The purpose of LAN includes transmission facilities for voice, image, text and data to be exchan-god, within a building or site and ;to and from the outside world. Some of the desijn problems of LAN has been considered and an effort has been made to develope an efficient LINO Three toplogies of interconnection of processors, namely, bus, ring and tree has been taken. for developing complete models of LSMZVA model for bus topology, tocken-passing for ring topology and a model for tree-topology with simple routinj algorithm have been made. For achieving system balance, load balancing and resource sharing has been provided. A case is considered for heterogeneous processors also. Protocol validation schemes are also described. A popular CCIfTS X,25 public data network has been validated by using duologue matrix method.
