dc.description.abstractThis dissertation is concerned with the optimization of Control System subject to constraints in time l rain, optimization problem reduces to simple graphical analysis i which can handle even higher order and multi.-loop feed back systems by the application of parameter plane (space) method. The method is extended to take into account additional inequality constraints such as saturation, control signal energy, band width, velocity error constant ( ), phase margin, and gain margin. Discussion is confined to linear time •» invariant systems with deterministic input, but the concept is also applicable to statistical input. The simplicity of this method gives it a distinct advantage and makes it attractive for praca tical applications* To illustrate the theory* a number of examples are solved for various inequality llde constraints.en_US
