Abstract: A method has been proposed to determine the profile of deposited sediment in a rectangular settling basin. Using this method a computer program has been written in C. The results have been presented and the correlations between sediment size distribution parameters and the configurations of deposition profile have been proposed. This will help in. locating the suitable number and size of hopper openings.
