Arnnlynin 1n hildgt' structure means to find out the effect of one single concentrated load placed eccentrically on all the girders. Different methods from very approximate to accurate ones are available for analysis of the bridge deck. The methods which are accurate ones are rarely used because of requirement of large memory and preparation of complicated data. Semicontinuum method which is comparatively newly devised has yet to establish its validity to have its access in the design offices. The method has got all the advantages namely, simplicity, economy and less data preparation. The accuracy once established the method has all the potential to replace the existing methods of analysis being used in design offices. An effort have been made in this dissertation to compare the results given by semicontinuum method with those of Grillage Method which is already an established method. Four bridge deck system 3GR- 41ane and 4GR-41ane with and without Cross girder with different load combination have been studied for comparison.en_US
