Keywords: CIVIL ENGINEERING;PLANIMETRIC CONTROL EXTENSION;AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS;PLANIMETRIC TRIANGULATION
Issue Date: 1976
Abstract: planimetric control extension procedures extends ground control in planimetry using aerial photographs.` The present investigations are mainly based on comparative study of selected planimetric triangulation methods in hilly (10% height variation) terrain. Chapter I is devoted for introduction and justification of present investigations. Chapter II, briefly, deals with the review work pertaining to various available methods of planimetric triangulation. Chapter III gives an introduction to a new approach to the problem of planimetric triangulation using variation of coordinates method. Chapter IV outlines the details of investigations carried out with limited available time and computer facilities. Chapter V analysis the results and conclusion drawn out of it.
