|Keywords:||CIVIL ENGINEERING;PILES DRIVING;VIBRATIONS;WATER - JETTING|
|Abstract:||An electromagnetic model vibro-hammer has been developed and used for pile driving. Model aluminium piles of 16 mm and 22 mm diameter and of length 75 cm have been driven in Solani sand in loose as well as dense state and Dhanauri clay. Three methods, namely vibratory, water-jetting and the combination of two have been employed for driving the piles. The rate of penetration in . all the cases have been recorded and the performance of the different methods have been studied. R ecoim i dations on the suitability of the methods and driving procedures have been made,|
