dc.description.abstract | Filtration is one of oldest and most efficient method of removing solid particulate from stream of dry gas. It consist of fabric filters which is capable of providing high collection efficiencies for particle as small as 0.5 Am, even when fabric has the spacing as large as 100 pm.This is so, because combination of factors results in the collection of particle on the fabric filters. As particles are collected, the pressure drop across the filtering media increases. Thus, filter must be cleaned at predetermined intervals to remove the deposited material. The fabric filters is also called bags and the structure in which bags hangs (which vary from couple to few thousand)is frequently referred to as a bag house. In the present work, an attempt has been made to design 06 bag-house which consists of number of bags. For the design, a cost function has been developed for the bag-house and it has been optimized. | en_US |
