dc.description.abstractin last ttso docado a, though the tochniquo of prostross-Ing ha q odvanccd tromendously, yet the Coda of Practice, of any country dons gnat specifically mention about tho dostgn of prostrossod concrete slabs. In general, for tho design of prostreasod concrete Otructuro, I.S. Coda (L$43-1960) has given five stages of loadings, (t) At transfer of prostross, (ii) At handiing and Erection, (iii) At design load, (iv) At appearance of first crock, and (v) At failure. From the existing knowledge of Elastic Theory, tho condition of stroosos at transfer of prostress, dovolop-mont of strassas due to handling and erection and under working loads can be analysed and checked by elastic thoory. But the behaviour of two vmy prestressed concrete slabs at the appoaranco of first crock and at failure Is still not known precisely..........en_US
