Issue Date: 1968
Abstract: In this investigation tosto havo been conducted on brick ©aoonry neDbere in 1:6 coi ont sand nortar vi,th diffotont amounts of reinforoonent under static and dynamic loading co no to yield pertinent design data viz., flenural strength, shear strength, axiai oo©presoive otrongth, and stiffness and damping characteristics. Thirty five beams with tension steel varying fron 0.092 to 0.869 percent and seven eccentrically loaded columns pith tension steel from 0.092 to 0.145 percent gore tested to the ultimate load for this purpose. Soso of the beans yore tested under free vibrations at varying amount of lateral load. The data obtained may be used in the design of small buildings for earthquake forces.
