Abstract: A fixed ended circular halicoidal staircase with an intermediate landing has been analysed by using the method of consistent deformation considering the six reactions at one of the supports. to be the redund«« ant forces, The general expressions have been derived for all the thirty three flexibility coefficients involved in the equations. Influence lines for all the redundant react-ions have been drawn for a particular staircase having a height of 40 ems., centre line radius 25 ems. and, total horizontal angle of 270, for both,.a unit tertieal load and a unit transverse moment. To compare the analytical results, the influence lines have also been drawn experimentally by constructing a full scale model of pe rspex sheet and using the zller Bresla& principle,.
