Abstract: | Tests on six compoelto T beams were conducted in to determine the behaviour under load, It hs been observed that the in—situ and precast 4 behave as a single unit at all ota'eo of loadin provid are suitably connected along the contact surf.-cc, R indicate that the ultimate shear strength of a roub may be taken as 350 p.c.i. Bond is hi1ily improved concrete shear keys but steel connectors tre not ver as bearing failure of concrete may occur around the pr steel. I The observed ultimate strengths were in close agreement with the theoretical values predicted by the method established in Chapter 3. |
